Chris began his career as a Trainee Accountant with a firm of chartered accountants. In the early 1980s, Chris was introduced to the Construction industry when he joined the Hilton Group as Assistant Accountant. The group comprised of 17 trading companies with a turnover IRO £30m.
Chris made his move into IT with his next position as IT Administrator with one of the country’s leading Tour Operators. His role involved supporting local area network users, as well as implementing and maintaining communications systems.
In 1991 Chris brought together his IT and accounting experience when he joined MICABuild Ltd.
Chris performed several roles within the company, initially providing product support and training to the MICAbuild customer base and latterly in project management.
As an accredited practitioner of PRINCE 2 methodology, Chris moved to CJK Consultancy in 2001 where he was made a Director. During his time with CJK Consultancy he delivered a variety of cost accounting solutions to the construction industry.
Chris was approached by former MICAbuild colleagues, David Hammond, Martin Woolger and other key personnel concerning the creation of Mardak Ltd. He subsequently joined the Mardak team in the very early days as Operations Manager. In 2007 Chris was made a Director of Mardak. He continues to utilise his extensive construction accounting experience and oversees all operational issues with the company, including migration, implementation and product support.
