User Training

We pride ourselves on providing excellent training for all users of MCA. Our training consultants have a great deal of expertise and experience.

Training will take place on site at your place of work, unless otherwise requested and arranged. Training is provided in either half day or full day sessions depending on the requirements.

A set number of training days is agreed at the point of purchasing the software which is recommended based on the number of user licences and modules purchased.  The level of this training depends on the experience of the users and covers operation of the hardware and application software.  Groups of people can be trained together on site but it is recommended that the maximum number in any one session is no more than 6 people. Additional training can be booked, in particular this is recommended for new employees or where a job role is changed.

Our trainers are briefed on your company set up and will discuss with you your specific requirements from the system, identifying module by module what functionality is required. From this information our training consultants will tailor your training sessions to meet your exact company and individual requirements. A 'test' company is installed on the system so that training can initially take place without affecting the 'live' company being implemented.

Training of user personnel to carry out the above procedures covers:

  • Creation of Nominal Files, Supplier Accounts and Job/Contracts, Client Accounts, Subcontractor Accounts, Employees, Products
  • Invoice coding and posting to Ledgers
  • Correction of mis-postings
  • Running basic reports and listings for reconciliation's
  • End of Month procedures

And ensuring the user is familiar with the following housekeeping routines:

  • Data Backups
  • Filing of Transaction Logs
  • Checking of Batch Control Logs against Transaction Logs
  • Setting of suitable Password Structure
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly Routines
